TIPPED OVER

TIPPED OVER!

i don’t know what I was thinking,

Iced coffee was what I was drinking…

Did I tip as I meant–

One hundred percent,

For a smile—what was I thinking?

Soft-spoken girl wearing hijab,

No time for any gab…

Was it wile

To see her smile,

For the short time I could grab?

MENTAL LOCK-UP HAIKU

MENTAL LOCK-UP HAIKU

(Maybe some repeats of earlier work)

Pushing it too much?

Recognizing I’m a wolf…

Taking advantage.

FOR MARY:

A lonesome cougar,

Cunning in her ramblings…

Into my former room!

Stubby pencil sings

Recording impressions new…

Singing golf pencils!

Common diagnoses,

Fellowship in pain/struggle…

This group comforts all.

Sitting at room’s door,

After houfrs writing verse…

Just inside the line!

Spirit’s forgotten

But by one or two  Christians…

Suggested mantras.

Ditty singing heard.

“Nicole” wanted a sample…

Made one up…for her!

Ten minute shower

Shortened yet to five…

Cold water assets!

Every morn anew—

Yesterday’ mistakes are gone…

Possibilities!!!!!

If staying two weeks,

Would ask Doctor “Siraco”

To visit or call.

(For encouragement)

“Renee” encouraged

Her circle, including me…

God’s love in action!

Some of us go back,

To apartments full of pain…

Can they grow at all?

A SIMPLE MAN’S ENCOURAGEMENT

A SIMPLE MAN’S ENCOURAGEMENT

He walked in the church door

And was greeted not like before…

A kiss on the cheek

That made him feel meek,

It had been just a hug heretofore.

The sister said, “now he was here,”

She didn’t have any fear…

‘Cause HE led hymn singing

With loud voice ringing,

She might have had to, if he hadn’t appeared!

Unusual, this hug and a kiss

On his cheek, he could get used to this…

Now just settle down

Your turn comes around,

To serve God with suitable bliss!

A DISH OF POPCORN

A DISH OF POPCORN

Encouragement in many forms

Brightens the outlook and warms…

The cockles of hearts

By fine mystic arts,

Even through shared, popped corns!
