Papers he tried finding,
Going crazy and whining…
Went without
Next week, no doubt,
They’ll reappear after dining!

Mind castles, unlike Sherlock,
Aren’t in his mental stock…
Try as might
Missed the light
Where those papers had stopped!

Visualization he uses,
As much for excuses….
The vision had
Was off a tad
Which easily confuses.

Rummaged through the work bag again,
Found those papers right then…
Looking for swag
In the bag,
Where it’s always been!

MAN’S FEARS
Excuses he made in the past,
Kept him from decisions cast…
Alternate affections
Inducing defections
From marriages supposed to last.
–
Not getting much at home,
Eyes and mind do tend to roam…
This fear of affairs
To his doctor he airs,
She says to a professional it is known.
–
A natural tendency to cling
To the one through whom light’s shining….
The danger is real
But she feels
Proper distance will be maintaining.
–
A note perhaps about her,
The woman who is his doctor…
He knows the line,
Looks away sometimes
Frequently as he prefers.
–
The nurses there are family,
Been going there a long time, you see…
One or two at close quarters
Are pleasant but mortar
The wall up professionally!
–
She’ll help him get counseling
And a new social worker to swing…
Emergency care
Helping him prepare
For improvement so he can sing!

DO THE DARN DISHES!!!
Some weeks bring to mind,
That the self is purposely blind…
To put it fair
He knows they are there,
But ignores chores of that kind.
–
They’re on the last spoon and fork,
No one else will do the work…
He’s making excuses
For housework recluses,
Someday someone will pop their cork!

THE WELL WITHIN YOU
Practicing Christians know
Out of their heart will flow…
What is put in,
Righteousness or sin
Or whatever we choose in tow.
–
Busier, busier lives,
Oft push our Lord aside…
“Why read a Book,
“When it’s easier to look
On the internet as an aside?”
–
We shun discipline
And wonder why we still sin…
The Bible isn’t able
To fill and enable
Unless studied well within!
–
It’s not enough to just quote
A few favorites and float…
We actively wait
For the Lord’s coming date,
On His words ignored people choke.
–
So strengthen that sagging knee,
All the prophets of the Lord agree…
Do whatever you can
To be God’s human,
And reign by a Crystal Sea!
