CHRISTMAS EVE–PLUS 35 MINUTES!

Roads are skating rinks,

The wife of safety thinks…

Stay home from church

And encourage,

Me in similar stakes!

So staying up to write,

At least part of this night…

Exhaustion

Will soon have won,

I’ll give up and  turn out my light!

(By the number of TYPOS, that may be soon!!!)

GET SOME REST?

Found himself in a trap,

Without a working C-PAP*…

He really tried–

His sleep denied–

For want of a broken strap!

Was given two harnesses free,

For a few nights sufficiently…

Slept refreshed

Till the C-PAP crashed,

Exhaustion came back suddenly.

The weekend he must rest,

Unaided in his quest…

To get his sleep

Not six feet deep,

Dying with  groggy  regrets!

*C-PAP is an air pump that forces air down past a person’s soft palate in the rear of their throat to keep their airway open, especially during sleep times.

MAELSTROM

My wife firmly insists.

We cannot leave without filling lists…

All laundry done–

Over-packing is fun–

For me, it’s the greatest of tests!

Leaving things mostly on her

Whilst i work, speeds up her “blur”…

Too much for me

Her fervor intensity,

Being forced  into corners…I DON’T prefer!

Somehow, we’ll work it through,

She’ll be exhausted (me, too)…

Climbing on the bus

In seats too small for us,

She’ll be sleeping (me awake) the journey through!

HE’S DRESSED, BUT…

HE’S DRESSED, BUT…

Into the water unplanned

With just a touch of his hand…

Tipped a full cup

Of water–clean it up,

Exhaustion must be in command!

ORANGE CATS OUT OF CCTV VIEWS!

ORANGE CATS  OUT OF CCTV VIEWS!

Orange cats on a downward slide,

Appear, then go back to hide…

Sounds like I’m  dreaming

But something I’m seeing,

Is it time to not work anymore?

HEART-TUGGING TIRED

HEART-TUGGING TIRED

Exhausted from a sleepless night,

He’s hard-put to put up a fight…

Heaves a sigh–

Would like a good cry–

Release…so he would feel right.

He found the right issue

To use his tissue…

Employed on the grounds

Of not having rounds,

He misses that he used to!

Didn’t quite make it to tears,

But the potential was good it appears…

A little pity is fine

If kept in line,

When back to reality it steers!

H.A.L.T. REPRISE…#1.

H.A.L.T. REPRISE…# 1.

Hunger, Anger, loneliness and exhaustion,

Wheedling the guard of the bastion…

Into opening gates,

For thin-ice skates

Throwing away the drawstrings of caution!

Loneliness, Tiredness–both–

Wearing down adherence to oath…

Got to stay strong,

Keep moving along,

Avoiding the slitting of throat.

HE WRITES ANYTIME!

(casacamisas.wordpress.com)

HE WRITES ANYTIME!

Off to bed he creeps,

Falls into bed and sleeps…

It’s been a long day

Segmented away,

His disjointed schedule keeps.

Not often is he taken in

With total exhaustion…

But falls behind

In the daily grind,

After losing his vigor and vim.

He writes whenever he can,

The time isn’t always planned…

When he can’t sleep

He’ll get up and reap,

The stories he’s written by hand.
