WARLIKE FAIRIES?

WARLIKE FAIRIES?

If winter accompanied by fairies,

Is generally soft and light…

Whom do we say brought a storm

With hard-punching winds and fight?

Are we to believe same fairies

That brought the gentle are strong…

That a soft magical creature

Will turn unto King Kong?

The world of the fairies

Is wonderment contained…

And only someone who knows this world

Can have these queries explained!

WATER FAERIES WINTER UNDER

WATER FAERIES WINTER UNDER

Where do water faeries go,

When weather turns cold with snow…

They find it nice

Underneath the ice,

Until springs thaw returns water flow.

I’m sure everybody has seen

Open water in winter that steams…

Water faeries will dance

In sudden romance,

While sunlight keeps the opening ice-clean.

All that one could wish,

Is to sleep with the turtles and fish…

Til the springtime warms

The heart of swarms

Of faeries and flies feverish.

FIRST FROST PICTORIAL

FIRST  FROST PICTORIAL

(sing to “Animal Crackers in My Soup”)

Chrysanthemums are askew

Heavy-laden with frozen dew,

Frosty grass is all aglow

With something that reminds of snow!

Yellow sun pops glistening rays

Over leaves with crystal glaze,

Tree trunks darken from melting frost

Making sure no heat is lost!

Short-tailed fairies in waters dwell

Rising up in the moist-er dells,

Stretching lithe backs to catch the sun

Raising their arms to the Holy One!

First frost feathers melt away

Until another autumn day,

Flowers straighten getting warm

Glad they have escaped a storm!
