A DIFFERENT WAY

A DIFFERENT WAY

Last Sunday going to church,

I decided to divert…

To a different way

Of travel that day,

A fall foliage search!

The trees on Main street bright

With yellows and orange in sunlight…

Brightened my day

As leaves fell away,

Making up for snow that night!

HAWKEYE, JUST BARELY.

HAWKEYE, JUST BARELY.

A leaf fell down through the trees,

Under the riverbank he sees…

In a moment or two

Water current brings it through,

Riding the water, not breeze.

Picnics by riversides are restful,

And value of eyesight is testable…

Even though we’ve no need

To stay up to speed,

Having down time is good for the successful.

Watching leaves fall through trees is no crime,

As long as we get back on time…

We don’t need to capture fish

To enjoy a wholesome dish,

But to appreciate God’s Creation is prime.
