WHAT WILL YOU “BE” FOR HALLOWEEN?

Halloween…time for dressing

Up in imaginative suggesting…

Of characters bold

And some rather old,

While asking for candied blessings!

LATE NIGHT RADIO

LATE NIGHT RADIO

From talking about Presidents,

To warning of the presence…

Of aliens here,

That we should fear

And speculate on, hence!

That is radio late night,

Listening when you turn out the light…

Spectral things

For which the phone rings

Would be a frightening sight.

Politics gets in as well,

But sometimes it’s hard to tell…

If politicos care

From all the goodies they share,

And seeing their egos swell.

If the subject seems too deranged,

Channels can be changed…

Your bugaboos found

Can stay underground

Till alien troops are arranged!

(My sincere apologies to the late night folks–what else can I listen to on the way home from work?)

WOOLIE CATERPILLARS’ WARNING

WOOLIE CATERPILLARS’ WARNING

Now what does the brown middle mean,

Is it how long until spring?

According to lore

If of brown there is more,

A milder winter is the thing.

Of course, sample size

Is small enough to realize…

That proper data

Sent prorata

Is rarely decently-sized.

The result is it is for fun

We trouble this black and brown one…

It may not be true,

It is up to you

To “measure” the winter that will come.
