We’ve heard of August/September
Being a Halloween to remember…
At least in stores
Who want to sell more,
Through timeliness dismembered!

Thanksgiving is barely mentioned,
Being Christian, not pagan convention…
But still are displayed,
In November anyway,
“Bell’s Spice” and turkey farm intentions.

Christmas sneaked up fast,
Before Halloween was passed…
More candy in rows
And holiday bows,
And pink tree iconoclasts.

HALLOWEEN AT WORK
“H.R.” put out a big bowl
And no one had to extol…
To take a bite,
The season is right
Just keep it under control!

The bowl is filled twice each day,
Sure hope when the kids display…
Their costuming feats
There are treats
Left for them to take away!

THIS YEAR…I’ll anticipate
And better regulate….
My sugar intake
For family’s sake,
And not overextrapolate.

Will you be a Hobo….or Gengis Khan,
Will you be a pussy cat by the dawn?
What will you be this Halloween….
Or will you just stay at home,
And hope no one comes?????????? 🙂
