WORK DICHOTOMY AND THE DIABETIC
He’s struggling with blood sugar levels,
Trying to face his devils…
To test very much
Requires the bucks
To properly finance health revels.
–
Symptoms are often the same,
Whether high or low in the game…
Sweat and jitters
And vision that glitters
This disease is worthy of the name.
–
Tonight he’s feeling down,
No replacement yet has been found…
For the man fired
In December transpired
To upset all vacation grounds.
–
He feels he’s the only one
Around when training is done…
Always second shift,
His may be a gift
But it rarely if ever is fun.
–
He’s let himself be used
By others and feels abused…
They fake datum,
He can’t get at them
For getting along is what he’d choose.
–
Maybe he feels put on, a little,
Not getting much sleep in the middle…
Of a long week
More sleep to seek,
So he won’t fall asleep at the griddle!
