BOYHOOD WONDERS

BOYHOOD WONDERS

Discovered firecrackers when young,

Shot them off in our garage…

The grease, oil and gasoline

Stored would have made a bonfire large!

Grew up next door to a happy blonde

We imagined adventure trails…

We grew older and more distant

And the boyish charm fails.

Some boys came along and out of spite

The broke my MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. set…

Why they wanted to do it

I haven’t figured out yet!

The other two kids looked down on the third member

Of the STATE HOSPITAL THREE”…

I was only twenty-seventh out of two-sixty one,

A “failure” academically.

A classmate of mine needed hospital care,

Recognized  the Chaplain’s last name…

The Chaplain told his younger son

Who on several visits came.

I’m sorry to my classmates,

I haven’t kept in touch…

The wonderful times alleged

For me weren’t so much.

MASSACHUSETTS SUPREME COURT IS NUTS!!!

MASSACHUSETTS SUPREME COURT IS NUTS!!!

Jordan Levy related today*

The Court said upskirting’s okay…

Our “Progressive” State

Has flipped reprobate,

Saying girls are clothed…anyway!

You’d expect this in High School,

A sick form of student rule…

With perverts in course

Women will be forced

To be victimized while perverts drool.

Our Attorney General, a female,

Should use this in her election to impale…

Wackos in the land

Having the upper hand,

Leaving a gruesome, embarrassing trail!

WHY FOLLOW ME AROUND?

WHY FOLLOW ME AROUND?

Responding recently to a High School friend

Whose always turning up around the next bend…

I wondered why

She’d try

To contact once again?

I set up a new “Linked-In” account with no gold

Frankly because I’d forgotten particulars of the old…

And here comes Dawn

With nary a yawn,

Being welcomingly bold.

Perhaps there are things I don’t see or recognise from then,

Why someone would value me to still reach out as friend…

Graduated in seventy-five,

Why should I deprive

Camaraderie of those who survived since then?

BLASTS FROM THE PAST

BLASTS FROM THE PAST–DO THEY LAST?

Lately my former classmates

Are inviting me to participate…

A new chance to join

That old gang of “moin”

From forty years ago before it’s too late.

I really don’t have a clue

Why they would include me too…

Perhaps common suffering

Of those times are buffering

In all the years since we’ve been through!

In my heart I think I know

It’s cruel to make them wait so…

What I failed to see

Is that they like me,

And need another brother to show.
