WHO WILL HE TRUST?

WHO WILL HE TRUST?

An addict’s problems with lust,

Who should the man trust…

His Pastor for sure

And his wife can help cure,

Handling the subject’s thrust.

Confession, Repentance are key,

For healing/forgiveness to be…

Approach God direct,

Clothed in Christ stand erect,

Learning love to last eternally!

PROPER NUTRITION

PROPER NUTRITION

He’s eating a garden salad,

His wife would think that valid…

The large pizza with cheese

Ate alone did please,

But it might turn his doctors quite pallid.

SHE GOT HIM BACK TODAY!

SHE GOT HIM BACK TODAY!

His wife was overjoyed

To see him take his medicine…

He was getting so tense,

If she spoke, she’d never win.

She’s glad to have her husband back,

A pleasure to have around…

When he gets all his medicine

She’s the happiest girl in town.

DIABETIC DUMBBELL

DIABETIC DUMBBELL

His wife as he was leaving, said,

“Remember, use your head…

Don’t overindulge

Growing your bulge,

I don’t you showing up dead.”

He went out with a grin

And proceeded to give in…

Went for his sack

To inject on track,

Had forgotten his insulin!

He’d left it there on the table

So was unable…

To correct

And deflect

The levels his eating enabled.

The moral of the story here

Is medically abundantly clear…

Take along your full kit

Or you’re done for it,

When you’ve had too much cheer!

THE HAPPY COUPLE WORKS

THE HAPPY COUPLE WORKS

His wife and he together

Work out emotional weather…

Communication

Is better than some,

But still needs some good old shoe leather!

He’s not very easy to move,

She knows a shove is behooved…

Once she’s on her way

Inertia will play

To get him into the groove.

He taught her to fight back

To his anger–she has the knack…

To talk sense

To the sometimes dense,

Getting them both back on track!

It’s so much nicer when done,

His eyes are “better” but none…

Too skilled estimating

Spacial integrating

As well as his beloved one.

They’ve learned when to talk,

Focussing on steps to walk…

Away from threats

And toward safe bets,

So no one their failures can gawk.

HEALTHCARE HIRE-UP

HEALTHCARE HIRE-UP

(Opinion piece)

He got a letter today,

Saying membership was on the way…

But he never qualified

And wondered why,

His wife had cancelled that one, anyway.

It seems to this humble sage

That this would be the age…

Of sucking us dry

Before we die,

By managers at every stage.

Having Medicaid and Medicare,

To some must seem unfair…

So plans appear

Taking over here,

Leaving less for personal care!

And of course funding will someday,

Dry up and blow away…

On borrowed cash

We’re certain to crash

Or be taken over, betrayed.

He’s heard it’s happening too,

From TV programs new…

Retirement funds

Are having leech runs,

Oh what is a guy to do?

Fund managers passing out pieces

Of percentage to maintain places…

All this money

Draws bees like honey,

While investors get stuck with no aces.

If you think Big Government suckled,

Uncle Sam has been cuckoled…

By corporate attitude

Where ANY MONEY’s viewed,

As assets to be sold.

A YOUTUBE EXPERIENCE

A YOU-TUBE EXPERIENCE

I changed to watching YouTube,

A break from blogging, dude…

This model railroad

Construction film showed,

A creative great attitude.

By classical music and jazz,

He’s working with friends that he has…

To his design,

A definite sign

That modeling’s an enjoyable task.

His wife got in the show,

Being an asset who knows…

How to please her man

Doing what she can

To help the railroad grow.

Its inspiration’s Canadian,

And the building is circadian…

Fifteen feet of track every day,

Nine film parts, by the way,

He’s built a fine model train stadium!

SPRING CLEANING THE BACK SEAT

SPRING CLEANING THE BACK SEAT

In the back seat of his car,

It’s built up for two months so far…

Bottles and trash

Not turned into cash,

Munchie wrappers strewn and bizarre.

His wife says it is time for cleaning,

She insists he repeats this with meaning…

Winter is at bay,

Let’s clean this today

Before the food wrappers start greening!

HEAVY BREATHING

HEAVY BREATHING

No, it’s not what you think,

Nor it is from heavy drink…

But a fool

Who should be schooled

On how to diabetic-think.

Might be from his over-weight,

Or from something over-ate…

Loss of breath

Leading to death,

No one wants to anticipate.

Time for him to get real,

To take care of himself with zeal…

Not sacrifice

His own for his wife’s,

His casket she’d rather not seal.
