GENTLE RAINS…THEY COME!

Yesterday was forecast then,

The Northeast wondered when…

This rain appeared

If Matthew steered,

Itself on its coastal trend!

Folks prayed–it went out to sea,

But damage was done totally…

Places I knew

Washed out too,

In the mountains it looked like a sea!

We have this gentle rain,

But maybe next hurricane?…

We’ve a drought

Cities without

Gladly accept what came!

PRAY FOR THE VULNERABLE.

Florida’s backbone,

Shortly will be storm-blown…

For all we pray

To get away,

Not caught up in hurricane moan!

We pray they take the time,

To patiently wait in line…

Getting supplies

Without angry cries,

Shouting….”Hey, THAT’S MINE!”

Praying for Holly and friends,

Family, facing these winds…

Stopping blogs

So they’ll not hog,

Data streams on which lives depend!

Maybe poets returning

Find heart fires ree-burning…

Taking our time

To unwind,

Filled with insights they’re learning?
