SCROUNGERS’ REPRISE

SCROUNGERS’ REPRISE

The HR Conference Room,

Dispelling scrounger gloom…

Only for today

Goodies–TAKE AWAY!

Or so we all readily assume!!!

SCRAPING…THE PARKING LOT ICE

SCRAPING…THE PARKING LOT ICE

The plowman came ’round seven PM,

To scrape down the ice in the lot…

I hear him out there doing his best

Not sure of the progress he’s got.

For the time to scrape it was during the day,

When things were warmer and loose…

It’s already freezing up anyway

And the ice is more solid than a moose.

Hit one (the moose) and see,

You then will believe me…

The ice is tougher when the sun goes down

I’m sure you see that easily!

Of course, when the parking lot’s full,

Everyone is at work and it’s hard…

To do an en mass car pull

And then quickly clean the yard.

WATER FAERIES WINTER UNDER

WATER FAERIES WINTER UNDER

Where do water faeries go,

When weather turns cold with snow…

They find it nice

Underneath the ice,

Until springs thaw returns water flow.

I’m sure everybody has seen

Open water in winter that steams…

Water faeries will dance

In sudden romance,

While sunlight keeps the opening ice-clean.

All that one could wish,

Is to sleep with the turtles and fish…

Til the springtime warms

The heart of swarms

Of faeries and flies feverish.

POSITIVELY PUDGY

POSITIVELY PUDGY

Americans are overweight
Despite all of our health debate…
We’re married to starch,
Sugar and parched
By sodas that don’t our thirst slake.

The one advantage to our bloat,
Beyond ability to float…
Is that we crack ice
Underneath so nice,
It melts faster under its snow coat!
