According to the world
Some of us aren’t worth much…*
Compared to popular culture,
Politicians and such.

We may be “the least of these”**
In what we have to say…
A few stalwarts in spite of this
Refuse to turn away.

We share ourselves with any
Who would take up their cross…***
And follow our Messiah
Even though they suffer loss.****

We preach Christ crucified*****
And then brought back to life…
Is it wonder the world hates us,
Coming down on us with strife?
