In Praise Now Sings

My heart rejoices in the Lord;
my spirit is lifted up in the Lord.
My mouth scorns the evil nation,
because I rejoice in your salvation.

There is none as holy as the Lord;
My salvation is only in the Lord.
He is my refuge and my fortress,
I run to Him in times of distress.

My deeds are considered by the Lord;
Knowledge has been grant by the Lord.
Let my proud and arrogant heart be stilled,
And with the love of Christ let me be filled.

I pray, guard our footsteps O Lord;
May we forever be true to our Lord.
I am overcome by your many blessings;
My heart and soul in praise now sings.

Coming Closer

Hebrews 10:25

(not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.)

Let us continue to meet together, that we may encourage and strengthen one another. Especially as we see the end drawing close.

Brothers, we know where we are going;

For we know Christ, His love is showing.

The curtain of darkness has been lifted

Revealing His forgiveness to us is gifted.

For what Christ suffered and endured,

We can know that our faith is assured.

Our evil hearts purged and made pure;

His grace and mercy steadfast and sure.

We no longer in darkness fumble and grope,

But stand unwavering confessing our hope.

Let us help each other to point to God above,

Telling everyone of His wondrous love.

Draw close and strengthen each other,

Come together encouraging our brothers.

As we see the world spinning into a blur,

And we can see that the end coming closer.

BRAND NEW DAY…by Carl Gooch

Brand New Day

Clean and fresh the morning air,
As the dew glistens upon flowers.
The birds happily sing without a care,
As I ponder my blessings for hours.

Your word like the air, sweet and pure,
Brings promises of mercy and love.
I feel your presence close and sure,
The breeze kisses my cheek from above.

This glorious day a blessing be;
A sample of the love you hold for me.
This day is mine to have and to use;
A gift to be unwrapped as I choose.

This day that the Lord has given,
Is brand new, all has been forgiven.
As I rise to greet this wondrous day,
A prayer of loving thanks I pray.

The sins of my past are no more!
I am not the same man I was before.
In Christ’s mercy I know it’s true,
Each day I am made brand new.

EVERY DAY, by Carl Gooch

Everyday

 –

We go to God in prayer,

And leave our concerns there.

We know that He will answer us;

So it is in Him alone we trust.

–

We are reassured by His word,

It is His loving promise heard.

We are guided by His strong hand;

It is by His strength we stand.

 –

Into this life troubles will come;

But our help is in God’s own Son.

All we need to do is on His love rely,

And He will dry every tear we cry.

 –

Things will not always go our way;

But He hears us when we pray.

He knows our hearts, He sees us fall;

But He is quick to answers our call.

 –

It’ll be done in His time to His glory,

We may not know the full story.

We do not see, we do not know;

So we trust in Him to help us grow.

 –

Often we only call on Him in trouble;

We try to keep Him in a bubble.

But just like He promised He came to stay.

He wants you to come to Him everyday.

 –
