SNAKY DRESS

The office wonder, Joanne,

Wore her “snake skin” again…

Black-white-grey

Not real–I’d say–

She rocks it (I’m a biased man)!

It looks like a “python” print,

Large enough one needn’t squint…

With a sweater

An attention getter,

She’s as valuable as the Philadelphia Mint!

With a friendly “Hello,”

Most residents gladly go…

In to say “Hi!”

(As so do I),

One fabulous helper, you know!

In our office twice a week,

Her apparel deserves a peek…

Always stylish

I abundantly wish,

She stays here–like us she’s unique.

SHE’S A NICE LADY…!

SHE’S A NICE LADY…!

My friend, “Bo” has it right,

At Riddlebrook, she is salt and light…

Takes time to listen

When eyes glisten,

Joanne is we residents’ delight!

SHE MISSES HIM…!

SHE MISSES HIM…!

He passed by Joanne today,

Said HI, in the usual way…

She said whistfully

She missed him to see,

It made it a less pleasant day!

He’d normally come down to write,

But he had some sickness to fight…

A quick HI!–BYE!

Then he had to fly,

With traffic his schedule was tight.

It pleased him to think he was missed,

Though he still voiced denial of this…

Since long ago

He’s struggled to know

He has value–as others witness!

But he likes it when she is there,

Her pleasant nature–what she wears…

Sometimes there’s no way

He can come down to “play”,

In that case it’s a life that he bears.

FASHION PERSONIFIED

FASHION PERSONIFIED

Janet and I were talking,

While Joanne was walking

Out to see

Little Gracie,

While I did the usual gawking.

“Joanne,” said Janet kindly,

“Your suit looks wonderfully…

“Matched in all parts

Your clothing arts,

You’re always a joy to see.”

I easily agreed too,

Joanne know what to do…

Fashion embodiment

By separates’ statement

Of talent with green and blue!

Things independently

Bought are artfully…

Brought together

A visual treasure,

Pleasing to all who see!  🙂

JOANNE: A WORTHY ODE

JOANNE:  A WORTHY ODE

It may sound rather semantic

But this ode won’t be romantic…

Came in to cover

She’s won us over,

Making our lives less frantic.

It took a while for me to warm,

So many have gone through well-worn…

Turnover is fine

But, bottom line,

Stability is the preferred norm.

Joanne was useful from the first,

Not just ornamental but versed…

In matters found

Competent and sound,

Far, oh far from the worst!

Now that we know her better,

If athletic, she would “letter…”

Attractive and rare

Professionals who care

Like her, we can’t do any better!
