“I HEAR HER CALLING”

I HEAR HER CALLING

Ready to leave was I,

Hearing a familiar cry…

“GET IN HERE”, it said

And again as I fled,

Her kitty won’t come back inside.

This kitty lives with a neighbor across the hall,

Sometimes Kizzy Kat has a ball…

His owner is blind,

And he doesn’t mind

Sitting outside the door when she calls.

I, myself, have herded

Kizzy back home well girded…

If all is lost

He can be tossed

Through his door…or similarly worded!

WELL-PLEASED PUSS

WELL-PLEASED PUSS

Across the hall neighbor’s Kizzy Kat Kitty,

Sitting in the hallway waiting for any…

Old bub

For him to rub,

His furry flanks against them plenty!

FAT FURRY FELICITOUS FELINE

FAT FURRY FELICITOUS FELINE

Roly-poly rolling

Human attention trolling…

On the hallway rug

Smug as a bug,

Whose escape from traps is extolling!

“Kizzy Kat” rugs legs

And purrs while Marion begs…

I use my cane

Gently, in vain,

As Kizzy puts all of us on pegs.

Finally, I’d had enough,

Putdown my cane and stuff…

That fat old thing

I picked up to bring

Inside his apartment–no guff!

MY WIFE WANTS A CAT

MY WIFE WANTS A CAT

Her husband soon will be working

Evenings–she’ll feel lonely…

She wants to get a kitty

To keep her company.

In theory there’s no problem,

But infections we tend to get…

Kitty front paws must declaw

Or the answer is “nyet.”

Suggested renting our neighbor’s

“Kizzy Kat” for a while…

The wife wasn’t enthusiastic,

She wants her own feline child.

I really can’t say I blame her

For I miss a kitty cat too…

At least we’ve begun discussions

Till we decide what to do.

KIZZY KONTACT!

KIZZY KONTACT!

I went out into the hall,

My neighbor’s cat stood tall…

She wanted him in

But he with a grin,

Decided to ignore her call.

I quick shut my door in case

He’d try to enter my place…

Schmoozed him back

With charming alack,

Putting smiles on his Missy’s face!

She said he listened to me,

I guess that happens to be…

But he held the right

To give a love bite,

As he went back to her purringly.
