EARLY SPRINGTIME STORM LYRICS
(to tune of THE YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS)
Tonight I’m feeling anxious
About this weekend’s storm,
By then I may be working
And driving as was the norm…
Going to make sure Di. is safe*
With charged battery packs,
If the lights go out she can move her chair
To get whate’er she lacks!
–
Oh, an early springtime snowstorm
Can be a wondrous thing,
A final chance to earn some bucks
For those who do plowing…
Most towns are near the end of salt
In their reserve supply,
We’ll take it for one more big blow
So let those snowflakes fly!
–
Emergency batteries
Hooked to my C-PAP,
So I can sleep with the power out
And wake up feeling apt…
We have enough blankets
And oil for lantern light,
The Lord will provide our meals–
Peanut butter is in sight!

* Di., …short for Diana…my beloved wife who has a power lift recliner she’s gotten stuck in during power outages.
