WHERE ARE THE BOTTLES ONCE LEFT ON THE ROADS?

WHERE ARE THE BOTTLES ONCE LEFT ON THE ROADS?

(“One Hundred Bottles of Beer on the Wall”)

No more bottles left on the roads,

If there are…very few!

Soda and beer will disappear,

A five-cent deposit for you!

Drinking water is next in line,

In some places…juice!

Bottling companies still make out,

With recycled plastic for use!

When the pockets empty are,

Bottles will get you by!

Twenty will buy a pasta pound

Or some hot dogs to fry!

Cleaner roads are what we have,

Cleaners make out “like Flynn”!

Dirty fingers can get some change….

Or a tale to spin!

(and a tale to spin!)

ACCORDING TO THE BLACKSTONE VALLEY TRIBUNE:

ACCORDING TO THE BLACKSTONE VALLEY TRIBUNE:

On page five of this week’s TRIBUNE,

It’s NOODLE MONTH, but it’s ending soon…

Oh why did they wait

For this very late date,

In three days, how many noodles can we consume?

Karen Trainor, of the column “Take The Hint”,

Her picture almost shows an impish glint…

Equates pasta with noodles,

Providing history doodles

Though the “Oodles” people may give some dissent.

She says Jefferson’s dinner in Naples

Led to pastas being staples…

At American feasts

Of macaroni treats,

Nowadays, it fills many tables.

On rice noodles she’s oddly silent,

On that history I hope she’s reliant…

Rice noodles can

Be served up grand,

I hope, instead of pasta, she’ll try it!
