NERVOUS NAILS

NERVOUS NAILS

When he didn’t get what he wanted,

He had not the hobby he flaunted..

His nerves did a trick

Biting nails to the quick,

That wasn’t what he really wanted!

HEART-TUGGING TIRED

HEART-TUGGING TIRED

Exhausted from a sleepless night,

He’s hard-put to put up a fight…

Heaves a sigh–

Would like a good cry–

Release…so he would feel right.

He found the right issue

To use his tissue…

Employed on the grounds

Of not having rounds,

He misses that he used to!

Didn’t quite make it to tears,

But the potential was good it appears…

A little pity is fine

If kept in line,

When back to reality it steers!

SOMETHING DIFFERENT TODAY…!

SOMETHING DIFFERENT TODAY…!

He really felt so dismayed,

So many chores had been delayed…

Dizziness set in

Walking within,

He knew he’d not made the grade.

Tempted he was to toss

Out his good name by loss…

Of self-control

Taking the toll,

Defiling and losing his cross.

But along came bloggers sharing

Their hope and joy in caring…

There still might be time

To turn to rhyme,

Instead of his grievances bearing!

WORK DICHOTOMY AND THE DIABETIC

WORK DICHOTOMY AND THE DIABETIC

He’s struggling with blood sugar levels,

Trying to face his devils…

To test very much

Requires the bucks

To properly finance health revels.

Symptoms are often the same,

Whether high or low in the game…

Sweat and jitters

And vision that glitters

This disease is worthy of the name.

Tonight he’s feeling down,

No replacement yet has been found…

For the man fired

In December transpired

To upset all vacation grounds.

He feels he’s the only one

Around when training is done…

Always second shift,

His may be a gift

But it rarely if ever is fun.

He’s let himself be used

By others and feels abused…

They fake datum,

He can’t get at them

For getting along is what he’d choose.

Maybe he feels put on, a little,

Not getting much sleep in the middle…

Of a long week

More sleep to seek,

So he won’t fall asleep at the griddle!
