October, three years ago,
I started a blog on my own…
Began with five LIKES
For a post and YIKES,
Look at how fast it’s grown!

Praise to God for the chance
To get up on stage and dance…
My song theme
Is “live your dream”,
Work hard and keep your balance.
–
For those first five LIKES I say,
Sure glad you stopped on your way…
For an “atta boy”
This blogger found joy,
The rest is history through today!

DREAMS OF WHAT CANNOT BE
Day dreams he has a lot
About what he hasn’t got…
Abilities too,
That he cannot do
Reflecting those things he is not.
–
“If only” the visualization,
He’d been given better designation…
For things that he would
If only he could,
He’d be a source of inspiration!
–
But of course the real cost
Is beyond opportunity lost…
His identity
Would change naturally,
His current blessings thus tossed.
–
It is better by far
To praise God for who you are…
No need for a splice
With alternate vice,
You don’t know how bless-ed you are!

Shopping lay away,
Managing debt rent style…
Happier morning!

Turkey’s waiting there,
Fixings still on “to buy” list…
Could we please eat out?

Putting ham on burger,
Kosher beef sandwich menued…
Culture dissonance.
–
Holiday times planned,
We can afford travel…how?
Making sacrifices!

Jesus the Babe born,
Royal bed was a manger…

SERENDIPITOUS OUTCOMES
Trying to gauge timing
By one’s self is horrible…
It’s hard to see the future,
As anything but deplorable.
–
One thinks all is lost
Then a pixie tweaks your nose…
Something wonderful happens,
Like an affordable set of clothes.
–
I don’t believe in coincidence
And neither am superstitious,
But when creative minds connect….
Results are oft delicious!
–
This kind of mystery in life
Clothed in spiritual certainty…
I can’t explain but praise God for,
And that’s enough for me!!!

Praise Now My Lord
Praise the Lord, for He is just and good.
Give Him the thanks you know you should.
Proclaim the mighty act known to your sight;
Blessed be the voice of truth that speaks right.
Remember me Lord, when you favor this land;
Let me be a servant and follow your command.
May I see your blessings and sing your praise;
And may I know your love and follow your ways.
I’ve sinned and acted a fool, rebelling against you;
I have no excuse; I plea for mercy simple and true.
The only miracle I have is the hope that I find in you;
You are my amazing grace, my comfort my salvation true.
It was you that came into a sin filled world for me.
It was you that came and fulfilled the law for me.
It was you that came and suffered and died for me.
It was you that came and rose from the dead for me.
It was you that came and gave life a purpose for me.
It is I that give you praise now my Lord.
