THOSE TINY BLACK FLIES…

THOSE TINY BLACK FLIES

Food appears and so do

These flies…

From out of nowhere they

Come by surprise;

In winter, less so, but in summer

They swarm…

Life cycles fostered by

Places warm,

Faster than rabbits, producing

Great clouds…

To get rid of them one must

Close up the chow!

CERTAIN HABITS

CERTAIN HABITS

Aligned with kindly abbots,

I tend to talk to rabbits…

And also may sing

About ANYTHING,

My wife thinks THAT’S a bad habit!

Punch cards at the close of a day

Have to go back a certain way…

And keys in the box

Must be ordered thus,

For an orderly display.

At home I follow reasoning

Dictating the cook and seasoning…

Since I cook

Which the wife forsook,

I keep her in mind to be pleasing.

We have our little quirks

We stay with a habit that works…

There is no reason

To change each season

Unless we find danger that lurks.
