IT GETS RATHER HAIRY
–
In the mist of a rush hour scene,
A call hung-up-on sounds mean…
They could call back–
In a minute things go slack–
Handle things the best one can without a scream!

SUDDEN SNOW
(“Animal Crackers in My Soup” tune)
After rush hour’s almost past
We encounter arctic blast…
A few light flurries then driving snow,
New England’s used to this I know.
–
Traded soup for coconut juice
Putting fluids to good use..
Irrigating is the key
Keeping this guard sleek and healthy!
–
Nothing in forecast said this soon
Most said midnight, not afternoon…
Boston channels oft ignore
Anything west of their back door.
–
Good thing I’ve got a shorter shift
Going home with a tail wind lift…
Not supposed to last very long at all,
Just another surprise winter squall!

THE EXODUS (LOCAL)
The rush hour has begun,
Is over quickly and done…
Not as was before
With herds through the door,
Overseas, Production has spun.
–
A brief interruption for me,
A few of my favorites to see….
Don’t delay them long,
The instinct is strong
To exit work and flee!
