GETTING CLEANED UP

Happy to pay the Electric
Me and the wife squared away….
Whether or not I needed,
Got a haircut and shower today!

Shaved my chin and the back of my neck,
All of the grey hair is gone…
At least for a moment I’m younger-looking,
I’m singing a happier song!

MEANDERING MONDAY
He woke up with the alarm,
Feasted on cold chicken “parm,”
His wife conceded
He’d not be impeded
From taking things slowly and calm.
–
He called a debt collector,
Before they turned on the detector…
Before the due dated
He remunerated,
Sooner than they expected!

He got his shower and shave,
A handsome visage to save…
The haircut waits
For convenient dates
When he is feeling brave.
–
A few things were set in motion
For when he has the notion…
To do each chore
Easier than before,
With less complicating emotion!
