THE SUNSET…SUCCINCTLY.

My wife says it’s sky-blue-pink

Running in bands through ink…

Of medium dark blue,

Daylight is through,

The sun is gone in a wink.

AS DUSK FADES TO DARKNESS

Sky-blue-pink horizons,

Sun is done supervising…

Mowing of lawns

And setting upon,

Warm of this day–surprising!

Automatic lights,

Security guard delights…

No more switches,

Or heated pitches,

When it gets darker they light!

Newly planted beds

Of flower scent swirl our heads…

Incense censors

Lessen out-pours,

To weather the night time instead.

RICH COLORATION

RICH COLORATION

Golden light at evening-tide,

What my wife calls “sky-blue-pink”…

When the colors quickly ride

Down an atmospheric sink!

Moons are seen with halos ’round,

Points to rain not snow….

Coming up through warming ground

First blossoms soon show.

Winter fades as plows come off

The prows of weary trucks…

Glad to get THAT WEIGHT off,

Low gas mileage costs big bucks!
