SNOW FAERIE

SNOW FAERIE

 The woods are quiet,

Frost kisses the nose…

From deep within

A conviction grows,

That something or someone

Inhabits the woods…

Softly observing

But misunderstood,

The animals quietly do their own thing

We imagine the glow

Of a faerie ring.

Not surprising, we man-poets,

Form our own view…

Of how faeries look

Ethereal too,

We paint them to look

Like our favorite lass…

Like if a lover

Had a looking glass,

Or some fancy of

A gentleman’s scheme…

Imagination

That is only a dream.
