CCTV FAUNA

CCTV FAUNA

Over a camera, a spider,

Moves forth and back like a glider…

Spinning its web

Before making bed,

Hoping for unwary colliders!

We’ve seen hornets, wasps and flies,

Become giant-sized…

The farther the focus

The more hocus pocus,

And the bigger they seem to our eyes.

The underside of this spider looks white,

At least near that shining spotlight…

Its legs all moving

And the web is improving,

Should be finished by morning’s light.

SUNLIGHT PRISMS

SUNLIGHT PRISMS

(Or…the Colorful Spider Web)

Spider webs over camera lens,

In sunlight toward rainbows bend…

Mini prisms’

Cataclysms

Natural light into rainbows rend.

Camera lens with diamond glow.

Double imaged layers show…

Sunlight bends

On the lens,

As a ray is caught and slows.

As the sun sinks slowly down,

Spiders lose their multicolored gown…

Unlit webs disappear

As they are much of the year,

Waiting for prey found.
