Pictured a power plant,
Smallish–that I’ll grant–
Like one during a sally
Down Pig Alley,
Coal-fed from a trestle and conveyor sent.

Steam pipes underground,
Making steam pipe sounds…
In all the buildings
Radiators refilling,
On State Hospital grounds!
–
Bare patches steam across roads,
Where the big steam pipe goes…
In all directions
And intersections,
Into buildings and staff abodes.
