POP NO WHEELIES!

How an accident victim feels,

Coming to and have no wheels…

All rusted out

No suspension to tout,

It seems the least hopeful of deals.

–

My Pastor reminded me

I had ability….

Life insurance’s

Saving endurance,

Despite acting foolishly!

–

Not that it’s there to spend,

But on God we can depend…

Finding His way

To save our day,

Counter to the natural trend!

–

it may work out this week,

The situation isn’t bleak…

We await in course

A new blessing source,

That continues the Lord’s winning streak!

Lord, show me your way,

Let your word guide me today…

Reach down from above

And fill me with your precious love.

–

Give me a passion for you

And love fill everything I do…

Keep my heart open wide

So my love for you cannot hide!

–

Open my ears to your sweet call,

So in love I may reach out to all…

Reveal to me what I’m to do

And give me the strength to see it through.

–

Let my life be worship and my breath praise

For the loving Lord blessed all my days…

And when I am no more to roam,

I know that He will take me home!  🙂

HOLIDAY DAYS

HOLIDAY DAYS

 

We’re saddened by time progressing,

In many ways the world is regressing…

Getting darker in spirit,

Every day you hear it

As one or another hero’s been caught messing.

–

We look for the future to come,

Remembering lost loved ones…

We try to go on

Dawn after dawn,

With hope that sometimes is done.

–

So many older folks have died

This year that we’ve been occupied…

With cherishing the few

Who muddle through,

Or at least we can say that we’ve tried.

–

For those who believe there is hope,

Not depending on booze or dope…

Our Lord saves

Through all high waves,

And givies us the joy to cope.

LANDING ON ONE’S FEET

We humans land on our feet,

Only when balanced and complete..

Not like a cat

Who can twist like that,

Our nature too easily defeats.

–

When we are right in the Lord

Our centering balance’s restored…

Hooray for the Day

We will fly away,

And those cats will then be so bored!!! 🙂

THE WELL WITHIN YOU

 

Practicing Christians know

Out of their heart will flow…

What is put in,

Righteousness or sin

Or whatever we choose in tow.

–

Busier, busier lives,

Oft push our Lord aside…

“Why read a Book,

“When it’s easier to look

On the internet as an aside?”

–

We shun discipline

And wonder why we still sin…

The Bible isn’t able

To fill and enable

Unless studied well within!

–

It’s not enough to just quote

A few favorites and float…

We actively wait

For the Lord’s coming date,

On His words ignored people choke.

–

So strengthen that sagging knee,

All the prophets of the Lord agree…

Do whatever you can

To be God’s human,

And reign by a Crystal Sea!

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my vision keep…

Away from things that would upset,

Get me down or make me fret…

Send me wise and helpful dreams

Because reality isn’t all it seems!!!

What’s positive is the Lord,

Soon normal status restored…

By His mighty hand

And generous command

To some nameless servant well-moored!

–

We both awoke in pain,

But momentum could only gain…

‘Twas over a year

Since Communion with my dear

Wife as I’ve sometimes explained.

–

Four out of five weeks in a row,

My Diana to church got to go…

Despite a mess

From limited access,

That’s been a huge blessing, you know!
