MINE, YOUR, THEIR

MINE,  YOUR,  THEIR

Music and poetry too,

Evoke visions different in view…

What you see

May differ from me,

different but maybe still true.

Thinking of the same

for a song by “what’s-her-name?”…

Her love scenes

On a movie screen,

Just listening–I made another claim.

Understand my view?

I really should explain it too…

A high school girl

Tossing  her pearls,

For  a night with who knows who?

Our makeup colors our eyes,

That really is no surprise…

One’s faith view

One explains, too,

With hopes of opening eyes!

Some triggers twerk

Reactions so knee-jerk…

Getting through

ideas new,

Is really hard work.

Thus, in poetry,

Your vision may differ from what I’s see…

So risk we all

Understanding mauled,

In  creative society.

UNDERSTANDING CHANGED

UNDERSTANDING CHANGED

(An Opinion)

The gauntlet of lust is gone,

The rest of us carry on…

With understanding

Principles demanding

Old perceptions to dawn.

Hormones needn’t show themselves here,

Cultivating clients in fear…

The anxiousness scale

Of any female

Should not be increased–that’s clear.

Boys will be boys will be boys,

But boys who are men make a choice…

To be not get excited

O’er “love” unrequited,

And keep strict control of one’s voice.

Comfort comes with a smile

And a quick “goodbye for a while”…

Polite but not deep,

No intimacy creep

Or being forced to go out single file!

MORE THAN BEAUTIFUL

MORE THAN BEAUTIFUL

Diane P., fan of poetry,

Took my news gallantly…

She will look on-line

For my blog so fine,

She’s really been kind to me!

A close look at her smiling face

Glowing with assurance and grace…

So glad that she

Befriended me,

She’s fine wine magnificently encased!  🙂

MY HEBREW BIBLE

MY HEBREW BIBLE

I wanted a COMPLETE JEWISH BIBLE,

And a friend said she’d get one for me…

She got it and the note inside was

Put so loving and tenderly.

I have no complaints,but rather

An observation to make…

I should have asked for large print,

The miniscule type’s hard to take!

It isn’t a joke…but the saying,

“Magnify the Lord with me”…

Is something I’ll do with this Bible

In part technologically!

This Hebrew-to-English will take a while

For me to comprehend…

It would be easier if I could read

This version along with a friend.

A Friend closer than a brother,

The Spirit who lives in me…

Who leads in all things of wisdom

Will help me this Wisdom to see.

EASTER ON THE WESTERN FRONT

EASTER ON THE WESTERN FRONT

We gather early morning

At a root cellar or grave,

Celebrating resurrection of

The One who came to save…

Sinners from sin natures,

He is the first-fruit of Joy—

As God’s own Son His work is done

Paying for spirit buoy!

Intellectual beatings

Deny His Deity,

Spotlights on “contradictions”

Question the Bible’s inerrancy…

Cherry-picking skeptics

Want to destroy it all,

And implicate by the “flaws” they find

The whole “deck of cards” must fall!

Evidence is right there

For those who do believe,

The contrite hearts who believe FIRST

Are the ones who will receive…

Extra-Biblical and context clues

To which skeptics are blind,

Take that step of faith–believe—

To receive the Lord Christ’s mind.

The word is Christ, both Man and God,

His word is what we eat,

Chew carefully the Scriptures

And run to His mercy-seat…

Christ-haters want to make you see

Their view that the Bible’s not pure,

To suggest your faith is useless

And it’s foolish to endure.

Believe, endure and live through faith,

Leave unbelievers to dissect,

For you–walk in Holy Spirit light—

Through God’s Son you will connect…

Some may never see nor hear

And like Israel be stiff-necked,

Those hearts are farther from God’s love…

Lack of faith disconnects.

The disciples were not ready

To see their Christ alive…

Despite three years of teaching,

Before the Spirit they were deprived;

Confusion reigned among the saints,

Are you still uncertain too?

Trust by faith in our Lord of All

And your understanding will break through!
