NOT JUST FOR CARTOON ELVES!
You remember the wee little elf,
Too young to work by himself…
Caught out in snows,
They called him “Blue Toes”*
And gave him his own toy shelf.

This year it’s very much colder
Than years not too much older…
Our toes turn blue
Just like elves’ toes do,
If we leave heating fires to smoulder!
–
We have to wear proper socks,
Avoiding frostbite spots…
The Super Bowl game
Will be warmer (a gain),
Wherever each football fan stops.
