Foraging in-between,
Highway and exit ramp seen…
Acorns and grass
Singly en mass,
Turkeys and deer in-between!

MID-MARCH HAIKU
–
Making quite a ruckus,
A rowdy bull frog caucus…
Politics aside!
–
Mulched and seeded ground,
Parking stones set and put down…
All done the plowing?
–
Shovel in my car,
Rarely used in snow thus far…
One more chance to be!
–
Roadside wild turkeys,
Next to the highway eat nuts…
Wildlife invasion!
–
Coyotes and wolves,
Nature has its driving force…
Pets keep in at night!

‘TWEEN HIGHWAY AND RAMP:
–
Wonders tend to appear,
Wild turkeys or white-tailed deer…
Feeding on grasses
As traffic passes,
Are seasonal visits here!
–
No one I know has disturbed
This haven in the suburbs…
Traffic roar
They’ve heard before,
No reason to be unnerved.
–
Sometimes my hopes advanced,
See a turkey when it’s just a tree branch…
Serendipity
Isn’t scheduled you see,
Be ready–for the world is our ranch!
