RUSHING ‘ROUND THE CORNER

RUSHING ‘ROUND THE CORNER

Hear that wind just shrieking

On a sunny day…

Rushing ’round my end apartment,

Is a storm onĀ its way?

‘Though its bright and sunny

Saturday afternoon…

I heard these same shrieks at night

With or without the moon!

We’re on an outside corner,

A tree wind tunnel nearby…

Can’t say I’m always comfortable

When those dead leaves fly!

BEFORE DAYLIGHT VIBRATIONS

BEFORE DAYLIGHT VIBRATIONS

It’s a warm winter night
When the wind shrieks
‘Round the corner of the apartment building…
The upper storey creaks
Everytime someone moves in the
Apartment upstairs…
The wind seems to calm as trees
In the distance rustle and the town
Silence is only broken by trucks on the highway…
Down-shifting.
