Stopped in the hallway to charter…
The ways of men
Not married again,
Nor wish to take it farther!

When his wife died, he
Felt life for him was buried…
No interest
In women–just rest–
An awful loss he carried.
–
If I’m to understand.
One day he woke up as a man…
Looking revived
And cherished his life,
Enjoying what’s left of his span.

Now he has family—
Daughters, grand kids, to see…
Misses his wife
But lives life,
A little more enjoyably!
