DARK LIMERICK WRITING

DARK LIMERICK WRITING

Writing limericks done

In the shade, isn’t for everyone…

The bad ones we use

To light our fuse,

Although they need editing some!

NARROW BOATS ON MY MIND

NARROW BOATS ON MY MIND

I dream of a working canal,

Which is for some banal…

Steering long boats

Around castle moats,

If I could, I would…and shall!

An English canal is “el neato,”

To lay on the deck in a Speedo ( ! )…

And write what happens

In a warm cabin,

Limericks being my credo.

I’d love to work a lock,

With bikini-ed babes along the walk…

But since I’m fat

I’d settle for a cat,

If it didn’t try to water-walk.

Alas, it’s too much money

Traveling to England, Honey…

So sit back and dream

Eating ice cream,

Watching English TV that’s funny.
