About Jonathan Caswell, The Poet:

This blog’s name is BY THE MIGHTY MUMFORD, a reference to the creek that runs through town. Not very significant-looking, but runs past interesting and historic places before joining the Blackstone River in South Uxbridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

The area contains various members of the author’s family and is where Jonathan and his wife, Diana have lived for just over 34 years…moving out from New York state shortly after marriage, No children…. Mr. Caswell writes on varied topics including his faith following Christ Jesus the Lord. He reposts (or reblogs) items from other blogs that interest him—-with more of them featured than his poetry!

Caswell primarily writes limerick style poems, but dabbles in other forms too. He has done song parody, humorous and serious topics. He has been on WORD PRESS on one blog or another for over 11 years. Come join us!

Yeah–we’re both diabetic—cat scratches increase our chances of getting infections (that’s happening even without the cats!). Still, we wonder…?

SOUNDS GOOD–some of the scientific words I get. Oui ou Non–agree with my expounded postion on Scripture and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? upon Jesus Christ as Almighty God in the flrsh?

Check out AMERICAN STAR PUBLISHING. My book is being sold through them. They are NOT a religious publisher but a generalized publisher that will do religious poetry books. One pays for them to market your book over time!

    🙂

    A copy of my questions:
    1. Favourite sandwich filling?
    2. What came first, the chicken or the egg?
    3. What’s an embarrassing thing you did when you thought nobody was looking?

Also, I broke so many rules when I made my own Sunshine Award post. If you want to play by the rules, MrHushHush – the awesome blogger who nominated me – posted the rules properly in his own Sunshine Award post.

If you don’t want to participate, I promise not to be offended! 🙂

Hello Jonathan, I really thank you for reblogging my poem “Out of the Shell”, which was based on Newton Ranaweera’s work here: https://newtoneapblog.wordpress.com/2019/02/17/see-were-free/
Newton is an excellent poet, perharps you could reblog this post of his, a chant to freedom in times of increasing athoritarian regimes?
And also Mario Savion’s latest chapter of his novel “Pickles and Tarts”? This is the story I was referring to in my poem “Out of the Shell”, where 54-year-old Frank has been selected by 19-year-old Nicole through a dating site. Frank looks at Nicole’s pics on the site and is attracted to her beauty. Nicole tells him she has a boyfriend and is not interested in a romantic relationship. She adds: “It’s fun to talk to different people sometimes.” It is a lovely story of illusion-delusion, dream-reality, non-conformist with the Capitalist system, highly reflective on love, sex and human relationships in today’s world. Highly intriguing: https://savioni.wordpress.com/2019/02/27/pickles-and-tarts-chapter-8/
Thank you. – Marta, from MOMENTS.

We met in the US, yet we are from the same city, Odessa. Not only that, but his mother worked at the lab of the hospital when I was giving birth to my son (by the first marriage, obviously). Not only that, but his cousin and cousin’s wife are college classmates and best friends of my cousin and cousin’s husband. Tell me that this was not His plan for us!
